Surrey Hills Removals and Storage
A Removals Company Built on Professionalism
At Surrey Hills Removals, we have built our reputation on professionalism, care, and flexibility, always keeping our customers at the heart of everything we do.
Whether we are carefully transporting a Steinway grand piano or a box of well-loved toys, we understand that every item we move has value and meaning to you. That’s why we treat each possession with the same level of attention and respect — no matter how big or small.
Our careful and considerate approach is something we are proud to be known for. It applies equally to local house removals in Surrey, long-distance moves across the UK, and even European removals.
Heritage and Experience You Can Trust
As a sister company to Manns Removals, our history stretches back more than a century. The business began in 1887 as the furniture delivery service for the Manns department store.
As home ownership increased and people began moving further afield, the removals side of the business grew rapidly — while still operating under the same trusted umbrella and maintaining the same commitment to service.
Today, we are proud to carry forward the high standards of professionalism and customer care traditionally associated with a department store, built on trust, reliability, and goodwill.

A Modern Removals Company with Traditional Values
Although Surrey Hills Removals now operates as a fully independent company, generations of experience continue to shape the values at the heart of our business.
While we respect our heritage, we are always looking ahead. Continuous investment in our modern fleet of well-maintained removal vehicles allows us to provide efficient and reliable service. Our vehicles are equipped with advanced GPS and tracking technology, helping us keep customers informed throughout the entire moving process.
We also utilise professional handling equipment and secure dedicated storage facilities to ensure your belongings remain safe at every stage of the move.
Despite these modern innovations, excellent customer service remains the foundation of everything we do.

Nick Caporn
Managing Director
At Surrey Hills Removals, our focus is on delivering the highest level of service to customers who want a smooth, stress-free moving experience. Many of our clients are looking for excellent value, but they also understand that the cheapest quote rarely delivers the quality, care, and professionalism required for a successful move. Choosing the right removals company can make all the difference between a seamless relocation and unnecessary stress.
Nick Caporn began his career in the removals industry over 40 years ago as a trainee manager with Pickfords. Over the years, he gained extensive experience working his way through a number of well-established companies before eventually founding Surrey Hills Removals.
His vision was clear: to build one of the leading removals companies in Surrey, known for exceptional service, reliability, and professionalism. As Nick often says, “Reaching the top is only the beginning — staying there requires constant effort, dedication, and the support of a fantastic team.”
Outside of the removals industry, Nick has a long-standing passion for rugby. As a former player and now a proud sponsor, he remains closely connected to Esher Rugby Football Club, where he can often be found enjoying a match on a Saturday afternoon.
